Estimator – Foodservice Equipment
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Foodservice Construction team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial kitchen and foodservice equipment projects. The Estimator will analyze construction drawings and specifications, develop detailed cost estimates, and utilize AutoQuotes to ensure precise equipment pricing.
This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven role requiring strong industry experience in foodservice equipment estimating.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage bid packages, drawings, specifications, and addenda
- Prepare detailed project estimates including equipment, materials, labor, and associated costs
- Use AutoQuotes (required) for equipment pricing and estimating
- Analyze construction documents to identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and risks
- Request and evaluate pricing from vendors and manufacturers
- Ensure all bids are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
- Maintain organized bid documentation and project records in internal systems
- Track bid status and follow up on submitted proposals
- Collaborate with vendors, manufacturer representatives, and internal teams
- Support a smooth handoff of awarded projects to project management teams
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in foodservice equipment estimating or foodservice construction
- Experience with AutoQuotes (required)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of commercial kitchen / foodservice equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in estimating
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
